Assignment 2/3 report


Above, is a prototype for an educational app utilizing AR to find the addition outcomes of the numbers that are targeted

It educates the user by creating a visual connection between a 3d model of two numbers with the use of AR technology. Using visual stimuli in this scenario may help reinforce the user’s memory. Additionally, with traditional methods, the use of traditional calculators and traditional methods are not deemed much entertaining so the use of 3d models and just with the press of a button it will help in making the additions easier and make it bit more exciting 

The use of AR allows for the users to be able to carry the prototypes anywhere as the minimum requirements for the setup would be a smartphone(android) and the number cards. In my application there is a use of the addition button which works as a bridge between the user and the application where by pressing it we can get the result.

I used two 3D models, one for the number 5 and 1 and one of the number 6. All are used simultaneously to make the app work.
